Car Math

Saw this in today’s Clarion Ledger.  It’s an actual car advertisement.  I know… strange, huh?  A car ad in the paper?

What?  Since when did I have to pass Calculus to find out how much that Prius costs?  Who comes out to sell you the car when you come to the lot?  Pythagoras?  “What’s it going to take to get your hypotenuse into this Honda?”  Why not just make your tagline:  If you can plot the transverse of the y-axis, you get an extended warranty!

But at least it’s better than all of the other car dealerships telling you that NOBODY beats their deal.  And then they point at you.

The common denominator?  Bad ad agencies.
