Take a look at these advertisements from different auto dealers and tell me if you see anything that is strange:
How in the hell can you beat everybody else’s deal? And how can TWO dealerships be right? I have a few hours in the afternoon tomorrow available, so I think I’m going to each of these guys and start making deals. Then, I’m going to take that deal to the next guy. Then, the next. Then, the next.
By the time I’m done, I’m thinking that I can get a new Honda Accord for roughly $34. Well, tax and title would be extra, but I can handle that. And then I’m going to go to the dealerships that weren’t successful and start yelling “LIAR” at the top of my lungs.
What? They brought it on themselves. That’s false advertising. Kind of like some bar hookups I’ve had where I tell the
cougars ladies that I’m in adult movies and known by my porn name: Miles Long. You should just SEE the disappointment on their faces.
